I am frequently asked about my weight loss by family and friends and the first question is, how did you do it?” When I answer, “diet and exercise” I can see the disappointment on their faces. In September 2019, I decided to become my own diet coach. I was no longer going to support the multi-billion dollar diet industry. No more fad diets for me! I got tired of excluding one food or another or eating one type of food for days or weeks.

On past diets, I quickly got fed up with grilled chicken and salad. I experienced what I called diet fatigue and therefore the diet became harder and harder. And I eventually stopped the diet. If you have a family, it will be easier for them to get on board because you will be cooking real food, just healthier. I do most of the cooking in my family and both my husband and son now think I’m a great cook! The biggest bonus is that they have also lost weight as well!

Obviously, since we are not even aware of it, the vast majority of these decisions are made with subconsciously or little or no thought.
